We’ve been decorating for Halloween at the Brewer mansion already and watching kid-friendly spooky movies, including It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, The Ghost and Mr. Chicken, and Monster House. This weekend, we’ll start putting together our second annual haunted house in our garage. With that in mind…
Today’s prompt is to write a spooky poem. Different things spook different people–so I’m not setting any guidelines. Just get spooky with it.

we tremble through our neighborhood
with our costumes all pulled over.

even people who are sober
say, “Give me a treat, make it good.”
